We value your privacy and handle your data carefully. This policy explains which data we process, why we do so, and what rights you have.

2. What data we process

This website deliberately processes as little data as possible:

  • Contact form. The form on this site sends nothing to our server. It opens your own email programme with the text you entered. We only receive your data at the moment you send that email yourself — typically your name, email address, phone number and the content of your message.
  • Email and telephone. If you contact us directly, we process the data you provide during that contact.
  • Server logs. Our hosting provider records technical data such as IP address, timestamp, requested page and browser type, for security purposes and to resolve faults.

We use no analytics cookies, no advertising networks and no tracking pixels.

3. Why, and on what legal basis

  • Answering your enquiry and preparing a quote — necessary for performance of a contract or for steps taken prior to entering one (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Security and proper functioning of the website — legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Accounting and statutory retention — legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

4. How long we keep data

  • Enquiries that do not lead to a contract: no longer than 12 months.
  • Data relating to a concluded contract: 7 years, under Dutch tax retention rules.
  • Server logs: usually a few weeks, according to our hosting provider's policy.

5. Sharing with others

We do not sell your data. We share it only where necessary to carry out your instruction, for example with:

  • our hosting provider, which technically enables the website and email;
  • transport companies, when a vehicle has to be delivered to you;
  • the German selling party, as far as needed for the purchase and export papers;
  • government bodies such as the RDW, where registration is involved.

6. Transfers outside the EEA

We do not transfer your data to countries outside the European Economic Area.

7. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing, the right to data portability and the right to object. Send your request to contact@machinery-jobo.biz. We respond within four weeks. To prevent misuse we may ask you to identify yourself.

8. Complaints

If you disagree with how we handle your data, we would like to hear it from you first. You also always have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

9. Security

The website runs exclusively over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to the administration area is password protected and limited to authorised staff.

10. Changes

We may amend this policy when our way of working or the law gives cause to do so. The current version is always published on this page.
